In
the heart of historic and literary Bloomsbury, the hotel
is situated on the border between
the West-End and the City and
at the very centre of London's
many attractions.
The British Museum is a stone's throw. The theatre district, Covent
Garden, shopping areas and major tourist sites are a few minutes
away and Oxford Street,
the famous shopping thoroughfare, is close by. Stroll a little further
to royal Westminster, where the Mall leads down to Buckingham Palace.
Here too you will find the royal parks, Westminster Abbey and the
Houses of Parliament leading to the Thames embankment and the chance
to view historic London from the river.
Easy underground connections will take you to Hyde Park and the
famous museums, or to the major exhibition centres. And when night
falls it is a short ride to London's glittering theatreland.
Euston Station
is a few minutes taxi ride to the hotel. By road From the M40
continue along Marylebone Road, turn right into Upper Woburn Place,
continue south past Russell Square, the Doubletree Hilton hotel is on the
left.

Doubletree Hilton Hotel History dates back to 1911 when a far-sighted Scotsman
named John Frame decided to build a hotel using the very latest
technology. The
hotel's
215 en-suite rooms are furnished for absolute comfort and equipped

and tea and coffee facilities. In addition, there is a spacious
lounge and the renowned 'Waterfalls'
restaurant and the
Malt bar and Rafaels cafe/bar serving refreshments.
Conference
facilities are excellent with
a choice of seven function rooms. The hotel can provide for a
small committee meeting to a major conference, from a buffet reception
to a dinner-dance for 140 people. |
